Making Nut Butter

First, you have to choose what KIND of nut butter you’re going to make. I LOVE me some cashew butter.

Then, put some nuts in a food processor of some sort. Just make sure your food processor has enough juice to handle the job.

Then, start grinding them up!

When they start to look like this, add some oil.

I like to use coconut oil. Yum!

Then, keep blending (for a while, and stopping to scrape the sides a lot) until it looks like this! This part takes the longest, but I promise, you WILL eventually get there! :o)

Finally, stick it in a jar. Or just eat it right then and there. That’s what I tend to do. Cashew butter doesn’t last long around me. Yum yum! :o)

Logan and Rishon

I’ve been meaning to post these for a while, but have been busy.

I took these when Logan and I went over to visit Joanna and Rishon while we were in Ninilchik several weeks ago. We had a good time talking and catching up and the boys liked each other. :o) It was funny because Rishon kept trying to steal Logan’s pacifier, even though he’s NEVER been interested in his own. Babies are so funny, and it’s so crazy to see how they want to be “like the other kid” at such a young age.

Theses two are about as different as night and day when it comes to size though. They’re only 2 1/2 months apart, and if they were both “average” sized, I don’t think the size difference would be incredibly noticeable. BUT, Rishon is at the top of the charts for his size, and little Logan is at the very bottom. And so this is what you get with that combination:

They had fun sitting together. :o)

Just had to share…

One of my friends on my pregnancy forum shared this link to a blog with us, and it was just so cute I thought others might enjoy it as well. :o)
