Team Spirit

So, the Cowboys play the Packers tomorrow, and we have kind of a rivalry going on with it at work. One of the guys in paint, "Q" is a big Packers fan, while Rhoni is a big Cowboys fan. So, Rhoni brought in a few of her Cowboys shirts and sweaters, and so the whole design center is wearing Cowboys stuff. The game isn't until tomorrow, but Q won't be here then, so we had to do it today. My shirt does say COWBOYS on it, but the shirt is white and the letters are light blue so it's kind of hard to tell. :o) Anyways, just wanted to share the picture. :o)

Husband's Revenge

So, a lady I work with sent me this forward today, and I thought it was funny, so I will share it with you. :o) Enjoy.

DON'T TAKE ME IF I DON'T WANT TO GO

After Mr. and Mrs. Fenton retired, Mrs. Fenton insisted her husband accompany her on her trips to Wal-Mart. Unfortunately, Mr. Fenton was like most men - he found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunately, Mrs. Fenton was like most women - she loved to browse. One day Mrs. Fenton received the following letter from her local Wal-Mart:

Dear Mrs. Fenton,
Over the past six months, your husband has been causing quite a commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and may be forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against Mr Fenton are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras.

1. June 15: Took 24 items and randomly put them in people's carts when they weren't looking.

2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5 minute intervals.

3. July 7: Made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom.

4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, "Code 3 in Housewares - get on it right away."

5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&M's on layaway.

6. September 14: Moved a "CAUTION - WET FLOOR" sign to a carpeted area.

7. September 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told other shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department.

8. September 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, "Why can't you people just leave me alone?"

9. October 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.

10. November 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.

11. December 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the "Mission Impossible" theme.

12. December 6: In the auto department, he practiced his "Madonna look" by using different sizes of funnels.

13. December 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled "PICK ME! PICK ME!"

14. December 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed "OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!"

And last, but not least,

15. December 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, then yelled very loudly, "Hey! There's no toilet paper in here!"

Regards,
Wal-Mart

I got a kick out of it anyways. Hope you guys are having a fantstic day!!! :o)

Yes, I'm a Dork

So, you wanna hear about some blond-ness on my part? (Kassandra? Being blond? Shocking, I know.) :o) Anyways, last night, I went to my house, to give my mom some catalogs for the partylite book party I'm having. I hung out there for a little bit, did a couple things at the house, got some dinner, fed the dogs, and then went into North Pole, to get a movie, before heading back to Allen and Natasha's house. So, I get back to their house, and I gather all my junk up out of the passenger seat, and go to get out, and remember that I have to plug my truck in. So, I put all of my stuff in the drivers seat, grab my extension cord, and shut my door. Big fat mistake. After I got done plugging in, I realized my error, as I tried to open the door, and found it locked. Yup, with my keys sitting in the seat, about a foot away from me, yet I was completely helpless to get them. And to make it worse, both my spare keys, and my spare remote were in my purse in the drivers seat as well. Yes, I'm brilliant, I know. I'm just really glad that they live in an apartment, instead of a house, because not only were my truck keys locked in there, but also the house keys. So, I went to the landlords' apartment, and asked them to let me in the house. So then, since the landlord is a cop, I asked if he had a way to get a door unlocked, and he said he didn't but he would try a coat hanger after they got their girls put to bed. So I said, "OK, if you don't mind, but take your time." So, I went back to the house, and watched TV while I was waiting. So I'm sitting there, waiting and waiting, and I'm like, "hmmm, I hope he didn't forget about me". Then a little while later, I thought, "Oh no, I hope he's not already out there." So I ran over to the window right quick, and sure enough, there he was. Ugh. So I hurried up and got my coat and gloves on, and went out there. I don't know how long we were out there, it was probably a good 20 - 30 minutes. Anyways, I was freezing to death, and right about the time we were going to give up, he got it. Of course, the alarm went off and everything, but oh well! I was so relieved that I wasn't going to have to call somebody to come unlock my doors for me. Well, needless to say, I didn't quite have the calm evening that I had planned, but it ended just fine. And I actually got in bed on time! Wow. That certainly is amazing. :o) Well, there's my story. :o) Hope you guys are having a fabulous day. :o)

A Nomad Am I

Or at least that's what I feel like, except I'm not moving around, following the food. :o) Anyways, Lucas and I house-sat at Julies for two weeks. We came home on Saturday. All mom could talk about was how nice it was without us there, and how, sadly, she didn't miss us. Nice huh? :o) So, anyways, on Sunday at church, Natasha asked me if I could house-sit for her starting yesterday for 10 days. My dad said that was fine, so, I moved all my junk over there last night. It's kind of a good thing that Natasha asked me so soon after we came home from Julies, because all of my stuff was still packed! So, I just loaded all of my stuff back up in my truck, and headed over. She said I didn't have to stay there every night, but I could if I wanted to. And I have to feed the hamsters every day, so it's just easier than running back and forth all the time. I'll probably still go home in the evenings though. Lucas wasn't too thrilled about that when I told them last night that I would see them tomorrow (today). Boy-oh-boy, I sure do feel loved. :o) No, things are actually going quite well at home. It's been nice. :o) So, anyways, I like house sitting. I like feeling like I'm kind of on my own, ya know? But it doesn't usually last so long that I get lonely. Kind of fun. :o) I just don't like trying to eat and stuff in other peoples houses, because I don't want to eat up all of their food, for one, and I'm not familiar with everything they have, so I never know what to do. That's why I'll be going home after work every night to have dinner, then I won't have to worry about it. And I'm sure mom won't mind having someone to wash the dishes. :o)

Well, there you have it. That's what I've been doing, and am doing. I'm afraid I've become rather boring. :o) Sorry I don't have anything more exciting to share with you. I'm sure at some point, something exciting will come up. :o) Until then, my friends, have a FABULOUS day. :o)

Bleh

So, I'm real bored. Hmmm... I think this post is gonna be boring too. I just found out today I have Monday off. That's kind of cool. It's a paid holiday, because of Veteran's day on Sunday. Not sure exactly what I'm going to do. Probably go to town with mom, until she has to go back to North Pole to go to work, then hang out with Angela, since she has Mondays off. That should be fun. Lucas and I have been house-sitting for Doug and Julie while Julie goes down to Texas to get Doug. They're supposed to be back tomorrow, but maybe not till Sunday. I guess we will see. :o) Ummm... 7 weeks and one day till I go to Texas. That's super exciting. :o) I can't wait. I'm really looking forward to seeing my family, and Bek. :o) I think Kaylee and I might drive down to the gulf of Mexico, so maybe I will get to see Heather too. We'll have to see though. I'm going to drive up to Oklahoma with Kaylee too (it's like a 3 hour drive) to surprise my grandma. She doesn't know I'm coming. That's going to be fun. :o) I'm trying to figure out what I'm gonna do tonight. I don't rilly feel like sitting home. And I got paid today. Not that I'm gonna go blow it or anything, but I have a little to work with if I want to go do something. Not that there's a lot to do in this crazy town or anything. I was thinking maybe I would go shopping...for what I don't know. But, then I was like, well, what fun is that when you're alone? And I don't really like shopping to begin with. *sigh* I know what I could do! I could go to Barne's and Noble to try to find something to buy with my gift card! That'll be fun, if I don't find anyone to hang out with, which would pretty much be only Emily anyways. So, I guess if I don't end up hanging out with Emily, I'll go to Barne's and Noble.

Ok, wow. This post is kind of retarded. Oh well. It's a post, so I don't want to hear anyone complaining about me never posting. Not that you really do in the first place, but ya know. :o) Ok, I'm going to go, now that I've manage to cause all of you to die of boredom.

Oh hey! You know what? Not that this is exactly cool or anything, but when I was on lunch, I was at the stoplight at the College Rd, and Johansen/Geist Rd intersection. I was on college, about to turn Left onto Geist, and there was a van on the corner, and he had run over some guy on a bike! It was horrible. The guy was just laying there on the pavement, and people had covered him up with their coats, to keep him warm. At first I thought it was a really bad car accident and someone had gotten thrown from their car, but then I saw his bike wedged under the front of the van. I couldn't tell if he was wearing a helmet or not. I hope he was, and if he wasn't, and he's ok, I hope he learns his lesson and wears one in the future. It was scary to see. I've seen car accidents before, but I've never seen someone just laying on the pavement like that. It makes a person think, that's for sure.

Alright, I'm done now. Talk to you guys later. :o)

Flowers

I LOVE flower photography. It's one of my favorite things ever. So, I went online, and found some pretty pictures. It was hard to choose which ones I like the best, and this is only off of one website! There are so many more out there! I could look forever. :o) Maybe one day I will post some like these that I took myself. :o) After I get a really nice camera. :o) One day. Anyways, here are the pictures I found. Enjoy. :o)

Bad Day

Well, on tuesday, I had a pretty rough day. The first half went ok. Then I went on lunch. I went tanning, and when I was getting out of my truck, I went to shut the door, and I slammed my finger in it. It was stuck. I couldn't get it out. I had to unlock my truck door, and open it to get my fingertip out. It was crazy. Then the pain came. I think pain's entire family came, it hurt so bad! I walked into the tanning salon, trying not to cry. The girl asked me how long I was going for. I told her 15, in as normal of a voice as I could manage. Then I looked at my finger, and the whole top half of my nail had turned black-ish purple. So I showed her, and told her that I had just slammed my hand in my door about 5 seconds prior. She told me to go in the bathroom, and run cold water over it. So, I did, and I closed the bathroom door, and cried, and cried, and cired. I felt like I was going to die! :o) So then I came out, and went and got in the tanning bed, and normally, I like to tan. I get all warm, (which is nice, when it's FREEZING outside!) and I usually fall asleep. Well, nope, not that day. I got really hot, and between the heat, and the pain, I thought I was going to throw up. I felt so sick. It was horrible. I got back to work, and Duck (a guy I work with) got me a finger protector out of the first aid kit, and i wrapped it up, to keep it from gettting bumped. Anyways, then I went to my Bible study at Mrs. Mary's, which went good, then I went back into town (Lucas and I are house-sitting at the Hickman's) and I went to Fred Meyer, to get some groceries. Well, when I came out, and I was trying to leave, I ended up backing into the van behind me. UGH. I got out, and thankfully, there was no dmage, so I went to get back in my truck, and as soon as I did, the people who had parked next to me, decided to pull out, even though I was sitting there, right in the middle of the row, and she backed into the front of my truck! I was like, wow, you have GOT to be kidding me. So, I got out again, and thankfully, once more, there was no damage. After that, I went home, popped in a movie, then went to bed. I was like, man, I'm ready for this day to be over!

So, my finger was really hurting all day yesterday. The blood under my nail spread out, and was covering almost the entire nail. So, after church last night, I went home, and heated up a straight pin with a lighter, until it was red-hot (literally, it was glowing red) and I poked a hole in my nail, to let the blood drain. It hurt worse after I did it, but it feels a lot better today. I still have to wear the finger protector, because it's still pretty tender if it gets bumped, but it's not aching anymore. But after the blood drained out of it, I could feel, by squeezing the sides of my finger that the nail is separated from the nail bed, and it is definitely going to fall off. It's kind of a weird feeling. :o) Oh joy. I just hope it doesn't take too long to grow back.

So, there you have it, my bad day on Tuesday. :o) Now that I have completely grossed all of you out, I hope you have a wonderful day! :o)
