Day 6: Friday

On Friday, we went to the Sea Life Park, and I got to swim with a dolphin! :o) we were in groups, but it was a really neat experience. I would love to be able to do a one-on-one experience sometime. :o) Mike stood on the side and took pictures, so here are a few. :o)

I love these pictures of Itsy Bitsy (our dolphin) jumping. :o) these animals are so smart! :o)

This wasn't my group, but it was closer than mine was (naturally, we were clear across the pool on the far end, so it was hard for Mike to get pictures. Luckily my camera is awesome, so you can zoom really far in on the computer.) :o)

This was a training session that they were doing.

The trainer is standing on the dolphin's nose. :o)

The penguins.

My beach babe husband. Haha. :o)

This little tiny gecko was in the gift shop. He was SO cute! :o)

Sea turtles.

This was the giant aquarium that you walk through to get to the main part of the park. It was really cool.

After we got done at the sea life park we went and rented a few boogie boards, and headed to Bellows Beach. We had a really good time. That ocean is exhausting though. :o)

Well, there you have it: Day 6. :o) Hope you enjoyed.

Alright Y'all

This whole "no comments" thing is lame. I enjoy feedback just like the next blogger, so leave me a comment! :o)

Anyways, here we are at Friday again. I'm very happy about this fact. This week has flown by. Hopefully we will get the majority of the bathroom finished up tomorrow. Nothing will get done tonight, because Angela is coming over and we're going to start on her very first quilt. I'm so excited to dive into a new craft project! :o) Hmmm, if only my spare bedroom was clean so we could work in there. :o) oh well, the kitchen table will have to do for now. ALL of the stuff that came out of the bathroom is in the spare room, and it's a mess. So, until the bathroom gets done, the room will stay a mess. :o)

Evie is doing pretty good. We're still working on that whole, "potty training" thing. Yeah.... that's going GREEAAAAT. Ugh. AND, she is a little escape artist. Every time we barricade her in the kitchen she gets out. EVERY time! We bought a baby gate, and what does she do? Chew a hole in it, then plop her little self through, that's what! Then she proceeds to spend the day upstairs with Charlie, pooping all over my carpet. Don't get me wrong here. I LOVE my new baby. :o) The second I get done scolding her for whatever she's done wrong, I can't help but scoop her up and love on her. It just takes patience to raise a puppy. :o) She's gaining weight, I can feel it. Her little belly is starting to fill out, and she's not as scrawny as she was when she first got here, two weeks ago. :o) Let's see... since she arrived, she has learned to: climb up the stairs, come back down them (that one took a little longer than the first), jump off the couch, without flipping when she landed, climb through a baby gate, get out of every enclosure that she has ever been put it. :o) Yep, she's simply up to no good. But with that face, you can't help but love her. :o)

Anyways, it's FINALLY almost time for me to end my day, so I'm going to get going. I hope you all have a FABULOUS weekend. I know I said this last weekend, but I'm HOPING to get the Hawaii pictures DONE, once and for all!!! :o) Hehe, no promises though. :o) see ya!

I've been tagged

Courtney, over at Courtney Michelle Photography has tagged me. Now I must give 6 random things about myself. :o)

~Here are the rules:

-Link to the person who tagged you.
-Post the rules on your blog.
-Write six random things about yourself.
-Tag sixish people at the end of your post.
-Let each person know he or she has been tagged.
-Let the tagger know when your entry is up.

Here goes:

1. As far as car accidents go, my worst fear is flipping over. Yes, I know...there ARE worse things that could happen in a car accident. Flipping in a vehicle is just NOT something that I ever, EVER want to experience.
2. I LOVE using my calendar at work. At the end of every month, I look forward to tearing a page off, (it's one of those large desk calendars, with a different flower on it every month) and writing new things all over it for the next month. I love using different colored highlighters/pens for different things, and I love the way it looks when I'm all done. It makes me feel organized. :o)
3. I am the very definition of a procrastinator. I always put things off till the last minute, and I work well under pressure. When I was in middle school, and I was attending public school, I would ride the bus home in the afternoon. I knew that my dad expected me to have the kitchen clean when he got home (he usually got home a little earlier than mom) and yet I would put it off, and put it off. I got to where I could scrub that place spotless in 20 minutes, and that included hand-mopping the floor! :o)
4. I can't make a decision to save my life... with little things anyways. I would stand in the drink aisle of the grocery store for half an hour if I had the time, and someone wasn't with me, saying, "Just pick something already!". :o) I'll just sit there thinking hmm.... do I want something fruity, like a juice, or do I want something carbonated? And if I want something carbonated, do I want a root beer, or an orange soda? ooh...what about a flavored water? see my point? :o)
5. When I was younger, I used to count everything. And I hated it. But it was like I couldn't help it. I would try not to, but it was like my mind wouldn't listen, and just count things no matter what I did. The tiles on the floor, the cereal boxes on the shelf at the grocery store, how many steps I was taking, how many stairs were in the stair case, how many cracks there were in the road as we were driving. I still do it, but it's not nearly as bad now that I'm older.
6. Grammar and spelling are one of my biggest pet peeves. It drives me nuts when people use the wrong version of "their" or "there" or "they're". And I especially hate it when I am the one making those mistakes. So, I read and re-read everything that I write or type to make sure that I am using the right words, and that they are all spelled correctly, unless I am in a hurry, or on the rare occasion (very rare) that I just don't care. Spell check is definitely my best friend. :o)

All right, now I get to tag 6 other Lucky, or not-so-lucky people to do this. :o)

Tori
Bek
Jenn
Amber
Krista
Kluane

Have fun, girls! :o)

So....

We started the remodel on our upstairs bathroom on Friday night. Needless to say, I did NOT get a chance to finish my Hawaii pictures! Ugh! Sorry. Maybe when I go home on lunch today, amidst all the other things that I need to get done. ??? Anyways, we'll see. Remodel pictures are soon to come though! :o) It's been a bit crazy/frustrating/trying, but we'll get it done. Anyways, I just wanted to give you all a tiny little update. :o) Talk to you later, I hope you're all having a good day so far! :o)

My New Baby

Hey guys. I know I haven't posted in a while. Sorry. And I know some of you want wedding pictures, but I want to get the Hawaii ones done first. I promise I will TRY to get those finished up this weekend, then I can post wedding pictures. :o)

But for now, for those of you who have not already, I would like you to meet my new baby, Evolet. :o) We call her Evie for short though. We love her to death (yes, even Mike). :o)

This was the first night we brought her home. She's so tiny! On Monday, at the vet she weighed in at a whopping 1.9 lbs! :o)

I was TRYING to get her to stay in her food dish (it looks like a coffee cup, glued to a little saucer, they're SO cute!) but she wasn't too interested in that! :o)

We finally got a quick one, before she hopped out.

Aren't her bowls the cutest thing? :o)

Evie with "daddy". :o) He adores her.

She's all tuckered out. :o)

These are from last night. Sorry the lighting is so bad in like, ALL of these pictures, but my camera is a little complex, and I haven't really taken the time to figure out how to use it. :o\

She doesn't like being confined in any way, so she was desperately trying to get off the couch, but she's too scared to jump. :o)

Anyways, that's our Evie. Our new little baby. :o) She's 9 weeks old right now. In a couple years when she's old enough, and her body is ready, we're going to breed her. I think it will be fun, but at the same time, I'm glad that it's at least 2 years away. :o)

Well, that's all for now. Like I said, I promise I will try to get the Hawaii pictures DONE this weekend, then on to wedding pictures! :o)
